Our Story
At just 14 years old, Annistyn Griffin’s life changed in an instant. What started as a fun ride on a golf cart turned into a terrifying accident—one that left her with a traumatic brain injury (TBI). After falling from the moving cart, she suffered a concussion and the long, difficult recovery that followed opened her eyes to the serious and often overlooked dangers of head injuries.
Annistyn quickly realized how many young people experience similar accidents but don’t always recognize the risks or take the necessary precautions. Determined to turn her experience into something positive, she founded Happy Heads, a campaign dedicated to raising awareness about TBIs and promoting helmet safety for children and teens.
Through helmet drives, community outreach, and educational initiatives, Annistyn has made it her mission to help protect others from preventable brain injuries. By providing helmets to children in need and sharing her story, she hopes to encourage safer habits, spark important conversations, and ultimately reduce the number of TBIs among youth.
Every helmet donated is more than just protection—it’s a step toward keeping kids safe, raising awareness, and making an impact. Join us in creating a future of Happy Heads!
